Look at this picture.
This giant rock is very special to the Anangu, the
native people.
They called it Uluru.
When British explorers saw it in 1873, they named it
Ayers Rock.
This hurt the Anangu and made them sad.
Now many people call it Uluru to respect the Anangu's
traditions.
