December 25 is *Christmas Day. In Japan, shops hold Christmas sales and many people enjoy shopping on that day. But in the U.K., Christmas is a day for family. Almost every shop *is closed on Christmas Day, and people usually stay home and enjoy dinner with their families. Every year they buy a big Christmas tree and put presents under it. People *exchange presents, so children also give their family presents. In the U.K., there is a special day after Christmas Day. People call it Boxing Day.
