Have you ever heard of the Deaflympics? The
Deaflympics is a sporting event which was first held for
deaf people in 1924. Like the Olympics, features
Yarious events such as soccer, basketball, and tennis. The
Japanese women's deaf soccer team competed for the
first time in 2009.
Deaf soccer has its own set of rules. For example, no
players are allowed to Wear a hearing aid although some
players use one in their daily Hife.
The players use eye contact。geStureS, and sign language
during a game. Among these, eye contact is the key to
starting their communication. So eye contact is essential
for the players on the field.
