"No," Rhett answered. "I don't love you, but

nature. I like you because you and I are very
similar. I'm no gentleman, and you are no lady.
You and I are both scoundrels."
"How dare you say such things?" Scarlett
demanded angrily. "You are very rude."
"Scarlett, please don't interrupt!" Rhett said.
"Listen to me: I have wanted you since the first
time I saw you at Twelve Oaks. I want you more
than I have ever wanted any woman. And I've
waited for you longer than I've ever waited for
any woman."
