※目的格のwhom (who), whichはあとに<主語+動詞・・・・・〉の形がきて
関係代名詞の節の中で目的語の働きをする
目的語が前に出た形と考えればよい。
whom (who), whichはthatを使ってもよい。
目的格の関係代名詞は省略してもよい。
I know am American boy (who) can speak Japanese well.
He is the man (whom) we met at the station.
I have an uncle (who) works in New York.
I have a house (which) has six rooms.

これらのwho, whichは疑問詞です。
2文 I have a friend + He lives in Tokyo.
[1文 I have afriend who lives in Tokyo.
このように接続詞と代名詞の働きをかねるwhoを関係代名詞という。
関係代名詞は2を文につなげる働きをします。
(a friend)のように関係代名詞の前におかれ、関係代名詞がその代わりをする
名詞を先行詞という。
先行詞と関係代名詞の関係

先行詞が「人」なら who (whose, whom)、先行詞が「物、動物」ならwhichを使う。
