59 演習59 (問題→本冊: p.119) Compare the amount of time you spend on crowded city streets to the time you spend walking along the seashore or through the woods. Your health is simply too important for you not to think of this. The difference in your health when fresh air is supplied to your lungs and blood is dramatic and obvious. 【解説】第1文では you spend on... streets は amount (of time) を修飾する接触節 であり, you spend walking ... woods までも同様に to の後の time を修飾する接触 節だが,ともに spend の目的語が見当たらないところに着眼する(→25課)。なお only ren the time は既出の the amount of time 「時間量」 「時間数」と同じ意味である。 which them さらに内 bab abies (S) can too important for you not( to think...)
