関係代名詞について =思い出そう =大切 関係代名詞は1つの文を後ろから修飾していき ます [覚えておくべき3つのルール] 1.文章の途中に疑問詞が入る 通常は文頭に来て疑問を呈する疑問詞 (5W1H)が、文章の中程にやってきていま す。 並び替え問題などで、選択語のなかに疑問詞 が来たら、迷いなく文頭に書き込んでいたか も知れませんが、 間接疑問文は文中に疑問詞 がきます。 5W1Hとは? what,where,who,which,why How

2. 「疑問詞+主語+動詞~?」 の語順になる 次の例文を見てみましょう。 Do you know what this is? (これが何かあなたは知っていますか?) 通常、「これは何ですか?」 という文は、 What is this? となり、「疑問詞+動詞+主語?」 ですよね。 しかし、間接疑問文として文中に挿入される と、語順は、「疑問詞+主語+動詞」となって います。ここが、 「間違いやすいポイント」 になりますので、要チェックです! あなたは知ってますか? という文+ これは 何ですかという文が足されているから疑問詞 +主語+動詞になる! 3. 疑問詞が主語になる時、 疑問詞の次になる 動詞は、三人称単数形を用いる 次の例文を見てみましょう。 I don't know who cooks this cake.

次の例文を見てみましょう。 I don't know who cooks this cake. (私は誰がこのケーキを作ったのか知りませ ん) 後半のwho cooks this cake.の部分。 「このケーキを作ったのは誰ですか?」とい う意味になります。 この、主語にあたるのはどこでしょう ケーキ、ではありません! この文章の主語は、「誰が」にあたる、 「who」、つまり疑問詞がそのまま主語に相 当しているんです。 間接疑問文では、主語が疑問詞にあたる場 合、その動詞(ここではcook)は、三人称単数 形にしなければならない! というルールがあ ります。
