Dear Takeshi,
How are things with you? Any signs of autumn yet? I can't believe that next
week will see the beginning of September. It seems that time has passed
very quickly since I came back to Manchester. (39)
How is your school life so far this year? The new school year begins in
September in Britain, so I have a lot of things to do at the moment.
You told me that now you have a new ALT,* Nick. Have you had a chance to
talk with him yet? I hope I can make contact with him by e-mail. I'd like to tell
him a lot of things about your school. I think I can show him some copies of
English materials I made for the class. Could you do me a favor? Please say
hello to Nick and ask if I could also have his e-mail address. (40)
I went for dinner today at a sushi restaurant in the city. Almost as good as in
Japan, but not quite as delicious. During my next visit to Japan, I will be sure
to go and eat sushi, as it is one of my favorite Japanese dishes.
