①原を用いた比較表現
①<as+原級+asA>で「Aと同じくらい~」という意味になる。
②<not as[sc]+原級+asA>で「Aほど~ではない」

国比較線を用いた比較表現
①〈比較級+thanA>で「Aより~」
② 比較級の前に much far をおくと差が大きいことを表し、 a little をおくと差が小さい
ことを表す(具体的な数字をおいて差を表すこともある)
例) Kate is a little shorter than Takashi
(ケイトはタカシより少し背が低い。)

①最上級は<thet-est>という形で表され、「(3つ[3人]以上のうちで)一番~」という意味になる。
difficult のように長いつづりの語は<the most+原級>で表す。
副詞の最上級には、
