(1) 駅の近くに本屋はありますか。
[any / are/ bookstores / in / of / there / front / the station]?
Are there any bookstores in front of the station?

(2) 体育館に机がありますか。
Is there any desks in the gym?

右の【Is there any desks 〜?】は間違いです。

前の方の回答のとおり，desksという複数のモノに対してはareを使います。
