合っていると思いますが、ホストマザー「が」の方が良いと思います。

以下、国語のお勉強（さっき調べました🙄）
「私はオールマイトだ」
「私は強い」
「私が来た！！」
述語が名詞形容詞の場合は通常「は」
述語が動詞の場合は通常「が」
もちろん、「は」「が」を入れ替えた表現も存在しますが、その場合は主語以外を排除したニュアンスになります。
