1. 次の文を読んで、問題に答えなさい。 Okamoto Taro, a Japanese artist, visited the Spanish Pavilion of the 1937 Paris Exposition. When he saw the painting Guernica, he (1)couldn't take his eyes off it. However, he had not decided what to paint until he read a shocking newspaper article. According to the article, Guernica, a small town in Spain, was bombed by the Nazis on April 26, 1937. He struggled to paint the tragedy of the bombing. He drew a number of sketches trying to show the sorrow of the people in Guernica.
