The Decimal System
The decimal system uses
2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9.
ten numbers: 0,1,
The number sets
include: counting numbers, rational numbers,
prime numbers, composite numbers, even and
odd numbers, and integers.
Counting Numbers
The set of counting numbers, or natural numbers,
begins with the number 1 and coutinues into
infinity.

Whole Numbers
The set of whole rumbers is the same as the
set of counting numbers, except that it begins
with 0.

Rational Numbers
The set of rational numbers includes any rumber
that can be written in the from of a fraction,
as long as the denominator is not equal to 0.
Prime Numbers
Prime numbers are counting numbers that can
be divided evenly by only two numbers: 1and
themselves.

Composite Numbers
Composite numbers are all counting numbers
that are not prime numbers. In other words,
composite numbers are numbers that have more
than two factors.
The number 1, because it has only one factor,
is not a prime number or a composite number.
Even and Odd Numbers
Even numbers include the numbers 0 and 2 and
all numbers That can be divided evenly by 2.
Odd numbers are all numbers that cannot be
divided evenly by 2.
Integers
The set of integers includes O, all of the courting
numbers, and the whole numbers less than O.
Numbers less than O are negative numbers.
Numbers greater than O are positive numbers.
O is neither positive nor negative.

合成数は数ではない。すべて
