tell(told)は他動詞なので 「tell to 人」の形をとることはありません。
どうしてもその形にしたいなら、「tell(told) the story to me」みたいにtellとtoの間に情報を挟む必要があります。

はto meを勝手にme にしていますけど、元の第3文型の英文 My father told the story to me. にある to me はそのままにしておくのが普通です。また、第3文型を作るtold は他動詞です。
したがって関係代名詞を使ってひとつの文にすると
The story which my father told to me was very interesting.
という英文になります。
文法的に間違いはありませんよ。
