①については、訳は殆ど合っていると思いますよ。ただ、ここの接続詞asは「〜のように」と訳す方が正しいかなと思います。
原因のas「〜ので」は文頭で用いる事が殆どなので。
②については、④のalmost calledの部分で正誤判断ができると思います。
almostは一般動詞の前に置かれた時「もう少しで〜(するところだった...)、危うく〜(するところだった)」と言うような意味になります。(今回の問題では受動態なのでもう少しで〜されるところだった)
なので④の英文は「もう少しでTong、Tongと呼ばれるところだった」と言う訳になるので、✖︎の選択肢だと判断できます。
