どうゆうふうに解けばいいですか?

次の文章を読んで、あとの問いに答えなさい。 「わたし」(高梨桃)は、中学生になってから、ほかのみん なより子どもっぽいことを気にしていて、早く大人にならな きゃいけないと思っていた。 小学生のころいっしょに図書館に 来ていたみっくんが、 大人向けの文庫本を借りていたのに感心 して、 「わたし」も大人向けの小説を借りるなどしていた。 放課後 わたしは読むのをあきらめた恋愛小説を、図書館に 返しにいった。 返却カウンターで、図書館のお姉さんに本をわたしながら、 わたしは後ろめたい気分でいた。ほんとうに返してしまってい 1.0 いんだろうか。 この本を返しちゃったら、わたしはこれからも ずっと、大人っぽくはなれないんじゃないかな。 そんな不安も 感じていた。 返却が終わったあとも、まっすぐ童話を借りにいく気にはな れなくて、わたしは大人向けの小説の欄のあいだをうろうろし ていた。またべつの小説を借りてみようかな、とも考えたけど、 おもしろそうな本はなかなか見つからなかった。 しばらく迷ったあとで、わたしはためらいがちに、大人の小 説のコーナーを離れた。 そしていつもの童話の棚に向かうと、 そこでわたしは思いがけない相手の姿を見つけた。 そこにいたのは、大人びた顔の背の高い男子。 みっくんだった。 みっくんは棚の前で童話の本を開いて、熱心に立ち読みをして いた。 本の表紙は見えないけど、挿絵でわかる。 この前わたしが返 した、「こだぬきレストランのポックル」の最新刊だ。 F 2 それを読むみっくんの顔には、すごくわくわくした表情が浮 かんでいた。いつもの不機嫌で怖そうな顔とは違う、昔となん にも変わっていない、おもしろい童話を読んでいるときのみっ くんの顔だ。 驚きすぎて声をかけることもできないでいると、みっくんが わたしに気がついた。 みっくんはぎょっとした顔になってから、 すぐにその表情を引っこめて、 「なんだ、 高梨か」とぶっきらぼ うに言った。 そして読んでいた本を棚にもどすと、なにごとも なかったかのように、すたすたとその場を立ち去ってしまう。 呆気に取られてしまってから、わたしはとっさにボックルの 最新刊を棚からぬきだして、みっくんのあとを追いかけた。 「道橋くん、待って!」 わたしが呼びかけても、 みっくんは立ち止まってくれなかっ た。わたしは駆け足でみっくんに追いつくと、服の裾をつかん で言った。 「待ってよ、みっくん!」 13 昔のあだ名をつい使ってしまったら、みっくんが怒った顔で 振りかえった。 鋭い目でにらまれて、わたしはびくっとうつむ いた。 けれどそれからすぐに、大きなため息の音が聞こえた。 わた しがおそるおそる顔を上げると、みっくんは怖い顔をやめて、 あきれたようにわたしのことを見ていた。 「もうその呼びかたはするなよ。 恥ずかしいだろ」 「ごめんなさい。 その、これ、借りようとしてたんじゃないの?」 わたしはおずおずとポックルの本をみっくんに差しだした。 するとみっくんはその本を見もしないでこたえる。 「そういうわけじゃない。 この前高梨が話してたのを思いだし て、ちょっと見てただけだ」 20 13 40 45
