M: Welcome to City Library. My name is Brian, and I'mavolunteer guide here. Before you enjoy our library, I'd like to tell you some things about this library. This building was built in the seventeenth century, and it was originally usedas a museum, so you can still see some paintings here. Our library is especially famous for several oil paintings from Europe. If you'd like to know more about the history of this building, we have a great program at the theater on the first floor. We show a movie about this building twice every hour. You need to get a ticket for the movie at the information desk, but the ticket is free. Now, I'll tell you some rules and information of our library. First, you cannot take pictures of the paintings on the second floor. However, you may take pictures here on the first floor. Second, do not eat or drink in any rooms in this library. If you get thirsty or hungry, there's a cafeteria next to the theater. Pizza and spaghetti are served for lunch between eleven a.m. and one p.m. Also, you can get some snacks there all day long. The library closes at five o'clock. There is a gift shop on the first floor that stays open until six p.m. You can get gifts, such as cups and Tshirts, for your family and friends. Als0, there is a nice, quiet garden behind this building. Many people enjoy reading books there. The garden closes at the same time as the library. OK, now please enjoy our library! te mee

2次の文章は,カナタに帰国したJudy が Maki に送ったEメールの内容である。 Dear Maki, Thank you for your help during my stay in Japan. Do you remember that you took me to the Dream Festival ? I enjoyed it very much. I enjoyed learning about Japanese culture at the festival. I played the shamisen for the first time at the event "Try new things!" The sound of the shamisen was very new to me. It was a wonderful experience. I learned that it is very important for me to try new things. The shamisen was one new thing. In Canada, I have started to practice the shamisen. Ipractice it every day. e piu The other day, I went to a concert withmy sister, Amy. It was exciting ! Japanese *musical instruments, such as the shakuhachi, shamisen, and wadaiko, were played together with western musical instruments, such as drums and guitars. I was very surprised. When they were played together, music became more beautiful and powerful ! At the end of the concert, I was very happy to have a chance to play the shamisen witha special band on the stage ! That was a lot of fun. I found a new thing I wanted to do. I'm very glad about that. Have you started doing any new things? Ifyou have, tell me about them. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
