前半は it for ~ to 。 後半は have+O+p.p. の過去完了形。
父が子供のころは、男の子が音楽のレッスンを受けることはまれで
あり、祖父も父に音楽を習わせなかった。
参考 have+人+原形、 have+物+p.p. と機械的に覚えているために、上
文の後半について考えられない人が多いが、この構文も第5文型の1つであっ
て、His father had him taught music. と His father had him teach
訳
music. の差は、次の2文の差である。
He was taught music.
