関係副詞には when,where, why、howの4つがあり
先行詞と節をつなぐ働き、と節内での副詞の働きを
かねている。
① This is the town
Ken was born Ihere.

This is the town where Ken was born.
先行詞

また、関係代名詞を使った場合は
① This is the town.
② Ken was born in it
This is the town in which Ken
と表すことができる。
関係代名詞
was
born
このように関係副詞は前置詞+関係代名詞と同じはたら
きをする。しかし、関係代名詞がthe town の代用に対し、関係副詞
はhere (副詞)の代用になっている。
また関係副詞が導く節は名詞を修飾しているので文全体では
形容詞の働きをしている。
This is the town (where Ken was borr).
これは(ケンの生まれた町です。
