No. "Seeing is believing," / as the old saying goes. Yes, that is true, / but we often forget that there are several ways of seeing things. ③In other words, / we see things differently / depending on what time,/ distance / or angle / we choose to see them. We know this by experience. The familiar sight of a place in the daytime / will change greatly / when we go there at night. Small hills, which from a distance seem to rise gently, are often found to be quite steep / when we actually start to climb them. ⑦Some artists have drawn strange pictures / which do not make any sense/when we look at them from the front. They form clear images only when we take a certain angle of vision toward them. In fact, we know quite a few examples which produce interesting optical illusions.
