Every year, one of the most popular new year's resolutions is to stay fit and
healthy. In one study, 32% of the volunteers said that they wanted to "lose weight."
However, when we look at how consumers are planning to meet their health and
fitness goals, ( 1 ) is eye-opening is how their resolutions compare with the
previous year's behavior. For example, 43% of people in the U.S. say they plan to
lose weight by making healthier food decisions, but 76% said they did not follow a
weight loss or diet program.
