→関係代名詞とは
文で名詞を修飾できるようにする接着剤のこと。
→関係代名詞をクリアするスリーステップ戦法
例 The dog is Pochi.+ The dog is running in the park.
STEP1 修飾する文を、修飾したい名詞の直後に入れる。
The dog the dog is running in the park is Pochi.
STEP2
関係代名詞(接着剤)を入れる。
主格
人以外で、「その犬は」と主語の位置なので、whichを使う。
The dog which the dog is running in the park is Pochi.
STEP3 後ろにある修飾される語(the dog
を消去。
The dog which the dog is running in the park Pochi.
⇒ The dog which is running in the park is Pochi.
(公園で走っている犬はポチです。)
※ものについて説明するときは、whichのほかに that も使われる。
→名詞と文をつなげるために使う関係代名詞(接着剤)
