英作文の問題です！2枚目の青線引いたnewは、novelにしてはだめですか？回答よろしくお願いします！

例題49 現代は情報過剰の時代である。今どきどこへ行
ったって、目新しいものや驚くようなものは何もない。

「目新しい」 は novel / unfamiliar も可。
モノ+ be surprising/boring/ exciting/interesting> 〈人 + be
surprised / bored/excited / interested〉は重要。

なんでもないように思えるが、「AもBもない」 という英語は not A
and B ではなく、 not A or B である。 この例外は「A かつB は~な
い」という場合である。
例 I cannot speak and listen at the same time.
