2~3行目: First, we can send New Year’s messages in other ways. For example we can send them by e-mail.

4~5行目: Second, we have to spend a lot of money to buy many cards.
または、Second, it costs us much money to buy many New Year’s cards.

としてみました。

・個人的には、メッセージを送る方法の例えをもう一つくらい上げて、
First, we can send New Year’s messages in other ways, for example by e-mail and(or) by Internet apps.
とするかもしれません。語数との関係もありますが…。

伝えたいことは、十分に伝わるので、自信を持っていきましょう。
