解説 1. keep doing で 「~し続ける」(~している状態
を保つ)という意味を表す。 SVC の文型。 このdoing は
現在分詞で補語。 keep on doingも同様に 「~し続ける」
という意味を表す。 =She kept on playing the piano
regardless of the noise. また, continue to do / continue
doing も「~し続ける」 (~することを続ける) という意味
を表す。SVO の文型で, to do, doing は目的語。 =She
continued to play the piano regardless of the noise.
regardless of ~「~に関係なく」。
2.「~している時に」 を分詞構文で表す。
3. (It is ~ to do) 「…するのは~だ」 に, 不定詞の意味上
の主語を〈for +名詞〉で不定詞の直前に置いた形。 It is
natural that babies (should) cry. と同じ意味。
4. like や hateは不定詞 動名詞ともに目的語にとるが、
( )の数が2つで, 意味士の主語を置く必要があるので
動名詞を選択する。 動名詞の意味上の主語は目的格または
所有格で表す。=My mother hates (me to be late.
