原級を用いた比較の表現には次のようなものがある。

3 比較級を用いた表現
比較級を用いた表現には次のようなものがある。
> Jim can swim faster than Joe.
> Math is more interesting to me than any other subject.
ジムはジョーよりも速く泳ぐことができる。
数学は、ぼくにとって他のどの科目よりも面白い。
Summer vacation is getting closer and closer.
夏休みがだんだん近づいてきている。
赤と青では, どちらが好きですか?
> Which do you like better, red or blue?
4 最上級を用いた表現
最上級を用いた表現には次のようなものがある。 副詞の最上級は the が省略されることが多い。
This box is the biggest of the three.
Ryo can run (the) fastest in our class.
この箱が3つのうちでいちばん大きい。
リョウは私たちのクラスでいちばん速く走れる。
