of the は、 ～の という意味があります。
All the children laughed at the show 　は「子供たちみんなショーで笑った」という意味になり、
All of the children laughed at the show　は「全ての子供たちはショーで笑った」という意味になります。
でも同じような意味にはなりますね！笑
