Were it not for my electronic dictionary ,English learning would be really inconvenient for me.
Weren’t it と、notは　wereとくっついていないのですか？

そうですね
例えば仮定法ではない、直説法の普通の文で
They were not〜→They weren't 〜
これは当たり前にやりますよね。

仮定法の
If it were not for〜は
If it weren't for〜って言うことはあります。

ifを省略したときに
Were it not for〜　を
Weren't it for〜　とは言わないですね。

仮定法プラス、not for〜っていう語順が
（notが省略されて、〜n't みたいになっていたとしても）
決まり文句というか定型なんでしょうかね。
