この英文で"more than"を入れる必要ってありますか？

more thanは以上と言う意味です。

There are many stars which are more than 100 times bigger than the sun.
は太陽の百倍以上大きさの星はたくさんある。と言う意味ですが、

There are many stars which are 100 times bigger than the sun.
は太陽の丁度百倍の大きさの星はたくさんある。と言う意味となり、

more thanがあるかないかでそもそも違う意味になります。
