When students graduate from high school, some decide to go to university,
while others choose to start working. There are also other choices. Some students
choose to take a gap year, a year-long break, before deciding what to do.
Why do students decide to take a gap year? Some students think it is a chance
to travel and experience the world. Others might take the time to think about what
they want to study. There are even students who use the time to work and earn money
before entering university.
Nevertheless, during gap years, some students lose motivation to study at
university. This may eventually lead them to give up on their future dreams. Others
may get a job but fail to earn enough money for university. As a result, they may end
up deciding not to go to university.
