It can often overcome you when in fact you are not alone; at a party, in the theater, or in any group where you are surrounded by people who give 5 evidence of being supremely confident, friendly and capable of smooth, happy communication. What should you do? Lonely people are advised to go out and meet people. But is this the answer? In a typical situation, such as your first day at a new school, you get the impression that everybody else is confident and knows all the others, while you are helpless and alone. But in reality most people put on a show of confidence to hide their true feelings. They may be as lonely as you. There is no reason at all to assume that, in a big city for example, all the 15 people around you are leading active, rich, fulfilling lives, while you alone are on the outside looking in. You may be less (3) of concealing your loneliness than others. You must try to put on a cheerful face; nobody will greet you at a party if you look utterly ( 4 ). Another point to remember is that you 20 should try to avoid joining groups where in fact you are a total stranger. 見にくかったらすみません! 最後の2行の英文の構造、特に波全部のところとchooseの語法がどうなっているか、 those thatの関係詞の部分がよく分かりません。。 thoseはthatの先行詞ですよね?教えてください🙇‍♀️
