as good as +形容詞[分詞]:ほとんど~と同様、~も同然

この本はほとんど新品同様だ。

○A・・・no+比較級+than B:AはBど同じくらい・・・・、AはBほどの…しかない

no+形容詞の比較級+名詞+than~と混同しない!

no less 否定語が2つ続き、肯定の意味になる。

○at (the) most: 多くても、せいぜい[最大でも同じかそれ以下]
There were at(the) most 50 people in the concert hall.
コンサートホールにはせいぜい50人の人しかいなかった。
●at least:少なくとも[最小でも同じかそれ以上]
At least five people were killed in the road accident.
少なくとも5人の人がその交通事故で亡くなった。
○at best: 最高でも、せいぜい
The game will end in a draw at best!
その試合は最高でも引き分けに終わるだろう。
at worst:最悪の場合
She will lose her job at worst!
彼女は最悪の場合、仕事をなくすだろう。
Oat one's best:最高の状態で
It was a tough match, and I wasn't at my best.
