Summary
In 1991, Mr. McJilton decided to make a self-help-center. Because he
though that it wasn't nevertoo late for people couldn't find jobs to change
their lives. However, he found that he lacked "heart knowledge" about homeless
ness. From January 1991 until April 1998 he lived in a cardboard house. He was
surprised at his neighbors didn't lose hope. Everyday he could see that people
are people. But the government reports that more than 15 %% of Japanese people
live below the relative poverty line. In March 2003, Second Harvest Japan
became an NPO. They give food to people who need it and help companies
Save money. When

follow. Second Harvest Japan is unique because they deal with both
business and welfare. He think of his work as matching up surplus food with
those who can use it. It is what makes his job so much fun.
