これは分詞構文の問題です。
以下のように、接続詞＋主語(次に来る主語と異なる場合はそのまま残す)＋動詞　を　分詞(現在分詞、過去分詞)に変えるのが分詞構文です。

Because/Since/As(接続詞) there was(動詞) so much washing(主語), she(主語) couldn't get(動詞) to bed until one in the morning.
⇒ There being so much washing, she couldn't get to bed until one in the morning.
洗濯ものが非常にたくさんあったので、彼女は午前1時まで寝ることができなかった。

※wasがbe動詞なのでbeing(be動詞の現在分詞)に変えています。
