なぜセールスチームのメンバーは違う時間に電話をかけたのですか？

Another time, a member of our sales team went to Tokyo for a month to do some research.
I asked him to call me at 9 a.m. every Thursday to give me an update. However, on his first
week, he called me at 1 a.m. in the morning. I was worried and asked him if everything
was OK. He said, "It's 9 a.m. so I'm calling for our meeting."
