❶ Girls are working as volunteers more than boys here. 　訳は「ここでは女の子たちはボランティアとして、男の子たちより働いている」
　　　　　　working more 　　　　＝ 女子が男子よりもっと働いている

❷ More girls are working as volunteers than boys here.　訳は「ここでは男の子たちより、より多くの女の子たちがボランティアとして働いている」
　More girls = より多くの女子が　（女子の数が多い）
