このwithの使い方がわからないです。教えてください🙇‍♂️

これには少しまごつきました。なぜなら、将棋
の胞は、大きさと書かれた漢字を除けば、まさ
しく同じ形をしているからです。 将棋は難しい
ゲームで、覚えるための一番の近道は自分の間
違いから学ぶことです。

with the exception of 〜で「を除いて」という意味です。イディオムとして覚えるといいと思います。
