基本的には、
他動詞は、動詞の後ろにO(目的語)をとり、
自動詞は、後ろに直接目的語をとれず、目的語をつけたい場合は、inやtoなどの、前置詞を伴います。
例
他動詞 I play soccer
S V O
自動詞 I go to school
S V
また、自動詞は受動態にすることができません。
