in caseと同意でfor fearやlestがありますが、否定語を持ってこないので、so thatかな。
下は
Hardly had, whenです。
否定後のhardlyが文頭に来てHe had hardlyが倒置になったもの。
否定を頭からされると嫌ですよね。
そして、内気になるんです、人間と同じく主語も。
なので、hadも一緒に出てきて、Heを守る形で「Hardly had he」となります。
このHardlyは=Scarcely なので覚えてください。
使い方は同じ、否定語。
No sooner had he enterd the room than the phone rang
=as soon as he had enter the.....
Hardly had he enter.. when (before) the phone
= scarcely had he enter...when(before)
The instant he had enter....
=The moment he had enter
こんだけ同じ表現ができます。
