Lesson 3 Section ① Emily Cummins is a young British inventor. She invented a small, eco-friendly refrigerator. When she was a high school student, she was afraid that people depended too much on electridty. St she came up with the idea of a refrigerator that does not need electricity- This refrigerator has two cylinders, with one inside the other. The space between them is filled with sandl or weel which is Soaked with water. The Sun's energy heats the cylinder cutside anal makes it "sweat". As the "sweat" dries, heat escapes from the cylinder inside. This makes the inside cool. It is easy for anyone to make the refrigerator. It is certain that this refrigerator is usuful fer thousands of people. Come up with~ fill (ed) sand 満たす wool heat(s) cylinder outside 砂 cylinder inside 内側の円筒 羊毛 thousands of ~ 何千という 熱する

Q&A 1. While she was living there, she got an idea for another invention. It was a water carrier. With it, people did not have to carry a heavy bucket on their head over a long distance. It is really useful in countries like Namibia. She found it necessary to observe local Conditions closely. When she went buck to England, she invented a toothpaste dispenser. It was created for old people and young children who could not squeeze the toothpaste from a tube easily. Thus, Cummins felt that her inventions should match the local lifestyle and needs of people.

例えばこの例文ならas a mother talksとto her childを副詞の()を分けてかたまりを作ると考えてました。

It is easy for you to read this book. This book is easy for you to read.

This passage introduces Chamorro, an endangered language spoken by the indigenous Chamorro people of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. The number of speakers declined significantly around 1917, when the U.S. Naval Government banned its use in schools and public areas. Furthermore, the growth of tourism and the rise of globalization reinforced the dominance of English, further marginalizing Chamorro. Today, efforts to preserve the language include incorporating it into school curricula, displaying it on public signs, and promoting its role in local cultural events and community activities.
