至急英語です。この本には絵がありませんの英語訳が
there are not anypictures in this bookだったのですが、なぜthisがあるのに前置詞がつくのですか？？

〜には=〜の中にはという解釈の方がいいですね。
この文章では絵の存在がどこにあるかを説明する前置詞が必要です。
There are not any pictures this book.だと
説明不足となります。なぜならどこに？という場所の説明が欠けています。
なのでその役割をしてくれる前置詞"in"が文章には必要となります。
