It is easy for you to read this book. This book is easy for you to read.

This passage introduces Chamorro, an endangered language spoken by the indigenous Chamorro people of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. The number of speakers declined significantly around 1917, when the U.S. Naval Government banned its use in schools and public areas. Furthermore, the growth of tourism and the rise of globalization reinforced the dominance of English, further marginalizing Chamorro. Today, efforts to preserve the language include incorporating it into school curricula, displaying it on public signs, and promoting its role in local cultural events and community activities.

With my wife to pick him up at the station, my son didn't have to be waiting for me.

a boy looking at the moon の a boy と looking の関係は能動、a man killed in the war の a man と killed の関係は受け身。これはわかるのですが、a book to read の a book と to read の関係(本はこれから読まれるんですよね)は to read が形が能動なのに意味が受動なのはなぜですか? a man to keep his promise は能動関係、a promise to arrive in time とかはポンポンと並列されていて同格関係(?) なぜ a book to read とか something to eat は a book to be read とか something to be eaten とはならないのでしょうか(ひょっとしてこれもOK)?

(空欄→whatです) how their resolutions compare with the previous year's behavior.
